The fixtures for the latest round of the Nations League have been announced, and Montserrat will host the October games. To cut down on the travel problems CONCACAF has decided that the games will be played during three windows, with all the games in each window played at the same venue. In October, the island of Montserrat is due to host Montserrat v Bonaire (twice) and St Vincent & the Grenadines v El Salvador (twice). The Montserrat FA has not confirmed that it will be able to host these games, and if it cannot, CONCACAF will choose an alternative venue.
In full, Montserrat’s fixtures (and provision venues) will be:
5 September: Montserrat v El Salvador (in St Vincent)
8 September: St Vincent & the Grenadines v Montserrat (in St Vincent)
10 October: Bonaire v Montserrat (in Montserrat)
13 October: Montserrat v Bonaire (in Montserrat)
14 November: Montserrat v St Vincent & the Grenadines (in El Salvador)
17 November: El Salvador v Montserrat (in El Salvador).
The striking thing is that Montserrat’s last game will be against El Salvador, in El Salvador. That could be a must win, if Montserrat is to make it into League A.
